Hey everyone, Chaplain Sam here with another Army and Conversion Showcase post. I think I've gathered up some great looking conversions and themed armies. Check them out, get inspired, create your own amazing conversion or themed army and then send me the pictures! I really like putting together these posts and I've had good feedback so I'll keep 'em coming. I hope you enjoy.

Army Showcase

Renegade Kroot Army - R.I.P. Kroot. If you didn't know yet, Forge World dropped all their Kroot models so I imagine we won't be seeing anymore awesome Kroot armies like this one anymore. It's a great looking army! It's painted to a very high standard and the conversion and done very well. My personal favorite is the first model.

Renaissance Marines - This is a gorgeous Renaissance themed Space Marine army. The amount of effort that went into this is staggering. The detail and the quality of the painting is incredible. This is probably one of the most impressive themed armies I have ever seen. I particularly like the five rhinos.

Conversion Corner

Tau Commander - I used to play Tau and I was never quite happy with the way the Crisis suits looked. I wanted something that looked more dynamic and agile, basically mini Riptides. I'm guessing the person who created this felt the same way. This conversion appears to be done using entirely Tau bits, which really helps keep the Tau aesthetic. The model is a bit thin in places and it could use some bulk, but overall I really, really like it. I'll take nine more please.

Pre-heresy Space Wolves - I know some people don't like the abundant wolfy-ness and wolf bling all over Space Wolves models right now. I am not one of those people. I love these pre-heresy Space Wolves. It's a really rugged look, tons of wolf pelts and all the models are still wysiwyg. It pretty much hits all the bases for me. I really like the subtlety of it, whereas some conversions can be a bit over the top and draw too much attention.

Stormtalon Helicopter - I'm actually surprised that 40k doesn't have some type of futuristic grimdark helicopter. This is a pretty amazing conversion. The model looks like it was supposed to be built that way and that's when you know you've done a good job. The paint scheme could be a little more interesting, but don't let that take away from how impressive the conversion is. It appears to be wysiwyg too!

Looted Piranha - There are some really awesome Ork conversions out there. Just look at this one! That is pretty incredible. It looks very Orky, except for a small part of that center panel right in front of the pilot. I know this one isn't wysiwyg (from what I can tell), but it's so well done I don't care! The creator should invest some time in to creating a fun background story for it.

That's all for now. I hope you guys enjoyed the third Army and Conversion Showcase. Catch you next time.

Chaplain Sam signing off.
